My girlfriend and I recently had the great pleasure of staying nearly two weeks at the delightful Casita Sonrisa. Cori and the local property management company went out of their way to ensure our trip to Isla was perfect in every way– lots of helpful tips re travel, restaurant recommendations, etc., etc. The Casita itself is beautifully decorated and appointed with everything one could need for a short or long stay. The sunrises on the veranda were stunning, enjoying a cold adult beverage in the dipping pool was perfect for cooling off after a hot day on the beach. I can’t say enough to express what a wonderful place this is. Thank you for sharing this with us! We will definitely be back.

This is our second time staying at Caribbean Casa. Last year we stayed in Isladise, this year Sonrisa. These beautiful casitas have everything you need for a comfortable stay. The owner’s are awesome and extremely helpful in making sure you have the best vacation ever. It’s close to centro but far enough away for a little peace and quiet. The new dipping pool at Sonrisa is a nice new feature and the views! Thanks Corinne for making sure we had an awesome vacation. If you’ve never been to this beautiful island, you’re missing out on amazing food, people and culture.

There is so much to say about how amazing this Casa is! It truly is paradise! We were there for 7 days, and we were taken aback by the beauty of it on day 7! Thank you so much for this dream home! We slept on the terrace, enjoyed sunsets in the pool, coffee to the sunrise, and just thoroughly enjoyed not only the beauty, but the comfort. Thank you!

My wife and I just spent the last week at Casita Isladise. It was our 10 year anniversary trip and we couldn’t have had a better experience! Beautiful house, great location, and stress free. Couldn’t imagine staying at a resort, this was the best experience. We also had the privilege of meeting Cori and Pete! They are wonderful hosts and really take pride in their Casa and genuinely care about the experience that their guests have. We will definitely be back in the future and will certainly recommend Caribbean Casa to family and friends alike.

We stayed for 8 days in November and Oh my! Everything I read was true! The spacious one bedroom Sonrisa was perfect for my husband and I. Fatima, the housekeeper, let us in and even though the apartment was immaculate, she went out on the veranda and cleaned the already spotless windows for us again. She takes great pride in her work and did not want even a speck of saltwater spray to distract from the breathtaking view. Truly a gem!
The first evening we rented a golf cart and took a drive around the island to get a feel for what we would experience the next day. Had dinner at Bally Hoo and fell in love with Isla on the spot. Their fish and chips are incredible! We decided to head back to our “Oh So Pretty” home away from home and enjoy the view from our private veranda that Fatima had made so perfect for our stay. The sight of the moon over the sea, the crashing waves and the joy we felt being in such a comfortable apartment was the perfect beginning to a wonderful week. Sleeping to the sounds of the waves and waking to the breathtaking sunrise at the foot of our bed was priceless. Truly one of the most relaxing places we have ever stayed. The bed was super comfortable with an assortment of pristine pillows and linens. Ceiling fans and air conditioning were a huge plus, but honestly, with the slider and front door grid open there was no need for it. The small width of this part of the island allows for a wonderful, sweeping breeze.
The love Cori & Pete put in to this townhouse is evident at every turn. The colors, the beautiful tile, comfortable bedding, linens, towels and decor could not be more perfect. Truly an island retreat that cannot be missed. I’m nutty about bugs, though somehow all of the island iguanas were cool to me (go figure), and there was not a single sighting of any insect. At. All. Four thumbs up!
Email with the owners is answered lightening fast and financial dealings couldn’t be easier. There is no question we will return again and again. Affordable and fantastic. The owners thought of everything…and the view. Oh, that view. Easy access to to dining, shopping and the beach. We can’t think of anything Sonrisa is lacking.
If you’re like us and follow Caribbean Casa on Facebook, you’ll find that this little gem books quickly. If your date is available I suggest you grab it quickly. Unless of course, it coincides with the week that my husband are both able to take off next year. ;->
Muchas Gracias Cori & Pedro!

Where do I start from beginning to end Caribbean Casa is a class act. Clean, clean, clean with very hospitable owners, that Really do want you back and take pride in their rental. The views from front and back decks are breathtaking from sunup to sundown.Nothing to put you to sleep like a rolling surf. I heard they added a roof top viewing deck, can’t wait to take sunset pictures from what looks to be the best vantage point on the north side beach. The location is fantastic for a short walk to the dozens of restaurants and grocery stores if you feel like cooking in the well stocked kitchen with new appliances. If you haven’t been to Isla Mujeres come and experience it’s beautiful beaches, my husband loves Isla as he feels safe on the island and of course driving the golf carts around the island is a plus. We will be returning to this gem of a rental in June yes it’s hot but it is also the season to snorkel with one of the most beautiful creatures to behold , whale sharks. You won’t be disappointed if you have the opportunity to vacation at this awesome rental. Whether you choose the upper or lower suites you won’t be disappointed both deliver well and are accommodating.

We’ve been staying at Caribbean Casa Casita Isladise every year since 2012. One word to describe it….AMAZING!!! Yes, it truly is ‘Isladise’. The location, along the malecon, offers incredible views in every direction and only a short scenic walk to centro and gorgeous Playa Norte. Three balconies and a rooftop with 360 degree views to enjoy every sunrise and sunset. Wonderful colorful decor that just makes you smile when you open the front door. A perfect kitchen that will actually make you want to cook while on holiday. The master suite with walk-in shower, 2 balconies and a dipping pool make it the perfect retreat. Our favorite place to stay on Isla Mujeres!

This is our 4th visit to the Caribbean Casa. Twice in Casa Sonrisa and twice in Casita Isladise! Charming, beautiful decor, pride of ownership shows in the care taken by the owners. We especially love that we can watch the sun rise on the East side balcony and watch the sun set on the West side balcony in the dipping pool! We also love that you can walk almost everywhere! The people of the Island are also friendly! We will be back next year and the year after that and the year after that!

We stayed in Isladise & Sonrisa on two separate trips; both absolutely fabulous! Step inside to colorful, tasteful décor & backdrop of turquoise ocean through large arched windows & sliding doors to the decks make the views breath-taking! And clean, clean, clean! Location is great…easy to get to, right on the malecon & close enough to walk to Centro or just explore the “neighborhood” for some great food! If you rent a golf cart (fun way to explore Isla!), you have your own parking spot in front of the Casa. Cori & Pedro thought of everything: well-stocked kitchen, large purified-water dispenser, comfy beds with nice linens, lots of pillows, fluffy bath towels, large beach towels, furnished decks & hammock & beach chairs for your use. Units have AC, but we loved having sliding doors open to enjoy sounds of the ocean. With small “hatch” in the front door, cross-breezes are great. Oh my, the sound of the ocean…so relaxing & lulls you to sleep after a fun day of exploring or a “busy” day on the beach. Hubby & I spent a week in Isladise last Oct; little piece of paradise. Everything for a perfect stay. Very comfy sectional in living room. Nice bathroom downstairs. Kitchen & large living area have awesome unobstructed views of the beautiful Sea through arched windows, sliding door to furnished deck…a perfect place to enjoy sunrise with your coffee & LaLa yogurt & fruit each morning! Upstairs bedroom suite is very roomy, with large bathroom area & walk-in shower. Two furnished decks, one small deck facing malecon & larger deck facing west with dipping pool! The rooftop “crow’s nest” with its 360-degree views was icing on the cake! Large windows overlooking beautiful turquoise Caribbean, but have dark drapes to pull if you want to sleep in one morning & skip watching sunrise from your bed. Stayed in Sonrisa with two girlfriends April 2017. Again, so lovely & well-appointed…those views through arched windows & sliding door…oh my! King-size bed looks right out to the Caribbean; with blow-up mattress provided, the three of us did just great here. Plenty of room, plenty of linens & plenty of fun! Furnished deck right on the Caribbean with direct access to malecon (via locked gate) so easy access for morning stroll or walk into town. We’re so grateful to Cori & Pedro for all the love & care they’ve so obviously put into Caribbean Casa. We hope to come back soon for another perfect stay at Caribbean Casa…truly a little slice of heaven.

We just came back from Caribbean Casa , Isladise, our most favorite get away home away from home. It’s great views from all 3 balconies and the sunrise and sunsets from the rooftop. It’s comfortable and we’ll maintained property, with yearly renos big and small. The Casa is close enough to walk to everywhere, yet located away from the sounds of the crowds. We can’t say enough good things about Fatima the housekeeper who does a fantastic job inside and out. We hesitate to tell everyone how perfect this location is ,as they say, best kept secret . We have had the pleasure of meeting Pete and Cori ,and you know from meeting them the pride they take in offering you that perfect vacation time. We’re already looking forward to 2018, 2019 etc… Thank you again fo sharing. D&V

The casa Isladise is the perfect home away from home. Absolutely everything is included, beautifully decorated and a with a magnificent seaside view. We watched the beautiful sunset every night sitting in our balcony dipping pool. The Casa Sonrisa is also quite beautiful and cosy. There is no other place on the island that can compare to the Caribbean casa.

My husband and I stayed at Casa Sonrisa for 9 nights & it was everything you could hope for & more. Spacious, safe, clean and the amazing ocean view right from your bed. Enjoyed everything about the Casa & there is not one thing I would have changed. The only reason why I wouldn’t want to write a review so it does sell out so quickly, a place like this is a “gem”. One little suggestion I thought would be helpful is if the Casa came with a little cooler you could use to bring your cold drinks to the beach. If that was my only problem to this property, then you know how fantastic everything else was. I would go back here the rest of my life if I could & more importantly I hope to return next year. Thanks for the amazing Casita, the owners deserve a big round of applause for their hard work on giving us such a perfect place to stay.

We have been to Isla numerous times, always hoping to stay at casita isladise. we could never make it happen. Finally I emailed Cory and simply asked WHEN this year do you have two weeks available? We were given two dates, and we chose October. Quite simply, this property is even better than expected. It is so spacious, airy and light filled. It is exceptionally well appointed and decorated. It has unsurpassed views, sitting directly on the Caribbean. The smell, the sound, the feel of the sea air, along with the breezes added to the experience. Two full bathrooms were a luxury. The kitchen was very well equipped and we loved the terracotta mugs and glasses for the freezer. The walk to town along the malecon was both beautiful and convenient. La Lomita ,a few doors down was awesome. The Flan Lady across from La Lomita was even better. Loved being in a real neighbourhood; truly felt like we were locals, and everyone was so friendly…. we had great (and silly) canine neighbours. Convenient golf cart parking. We LOVED our amazing master suite, and all the beautiful outdoor spaces ( 4 altogether including a furnished caribbean patio off the living room, a furnished caribbean patio off the bedroom, a furnished large bayside terrace complete with dipping pool off the bedroom, and a beautiful roof top terrace with 360 degree views. we had 5 out of 14 days of rain, but still with the amount of space in this portent, we never felt hemmed in. All in all, this is just THE most amazing property ( and I won’t even say for the price) on Isla. My cousin and her husband stayed downstairs in Sonrisa and loved it as well. Thanks Cory and Pete for an amazing vacation. Looking forward to our 3 weeks next year!!

We stayed in Casita Isladise for 9 days in August 2015. For the months leading up to our stay at Caribbean Casa we probably looked at the photos of the house just about everyday leading up to going on the trip. But the photos don’t do the casa any justice. When we walked in and could see the ocean through the glass back door we were blown away. I knew we were pretty much on top of the water since we’ve been to the island several times and knew the location. But experiencing it is much different. The balcony off the living room was great, we’d hang out on it during the day. And at night we’d go to the balcony facing the Caribbean side off the master bedroom or the side facing Cancun. In the four previous visits to Isla I had never seen the sunset until we stayed at Casa Isladise. The view from the rooftop was incredible, every night we’d make sure we were back at the casa to watch the sunset. The house was great though, had everything you could possibly need and more. The kitchen was outfitted with anything and everything. And we loved the character and décor in the house. The casa is extremely comfortable, I felt like I was at home the minute we walked inside. My wife actually turned to me and acknowledged what a great job I did finding the casa. I could go on and on about how great the house is but I don’t have time and enough characters remaining. If your looking for a great getaway that’s not crazy expensive and has million dollar views, Caribbean Casa is perfect. I’ll definitely be back in the future! Thanks Cori and Pedro!

We stayed in Casita Isladise for a week in June 2015. We couldn’t have been happier. Isladise has everything we wanted in a vacation home from sweeping views of the Caribbean in all directions, tasteful decor and tile work that gives you that authentic Mexican feel, comfy king bed, two full baths, awesome kitchen and the multiple porches and verandas on both floors. Our housekeeper Fatima and Lupita from the property management service were there on our arrival and showed us through the Casa from top to bottom. There are beach chairs and beach towels included as well as purified water for drinking. The dipping pool on the upper level has awesome views to watch the island activities and cool off at the same time. We couldn’t have felt more comfortable. Gracias Cori and Pedro for sharing your wonderful home with us. Can’t wait to come back!

It was our first time on the Island and what a neat blessing for the two of us. The suite was beautiful in every way. If we have a chance we will return again!

Our third stay in Isladise, Caribbean Casa and it just keeps getting better and better! The new fully equipped kitchen is wonderful. I didn’t think I would ever cook while on holiday, but it was a pleasure to make bacon, eggs and french toast, while enjoying an amazing view. Bright and colourful with Pedro’s signature ‘arches’, it is the most warm and welcoming ‘home’ on the island. Our 5 weeks went by far too quickly. Leaving Isla Mujeres always makes me sad, but leaving Isladise makes me cry. So many details that makes this such a special place to stay….everything has been thought of. Sue and Miguel, property managers, and Fatima, cleaner extraordinaire, do amazing jobs to make everything perfect and spotlessly clean. I can’t say enough about Isladise…it truly is Isla Mujeres + Paradise = Isladise! Gracias Cori y Pedro once again, for another wonderful holiday!

Stayed at Casa Sonrisa for over a week in Feb, excellent stay, clean and comfortable with everything you need to make yourself at home. The hosts were lovely to correspond with, and we met some fellow travellers there that were super nice and friendly as well…hoping to see them again. Convenient location and some great food just down the street as well. Returning for 2016 for a hopefully longer stay.

Stayed at Casita Sonrisa for 8 days in January. The casita is by far the best and most comfortable accommodation we’ve stayed at for our caribbean vacations. Don’t believe you can have a terrace any closer to the ocean. Sunrise and full moon viewings were spectacular. Will be returning in 2016.

We spent 11 nights at Casita Isladise–sure hated to leave! It was such a good feeling walking into the casita and seeing what we expected from the listing. But we didn’t realize how much we’d appreciate the sounds of the water. The crashing waves were so mesmerizing that we spent more time “at home” than we had expected. Reading and staring at the waves from the balcony was so special. Decor was perfect for us. Almost everything was provided in the kitchen, comfortable seating and bed, splash pool for quick dips. We didn’t make all of the eating places on our list–ended up with several visits to Rubens, Barlitos, and Bastos. Got take-out several times, too. We walked into centro and the Playa Norte and used taxis to go south. A highlight was seeing the first turtle release of the season. Sue from Capi’s Management was right on top of some minor problems. Would I come back? YES, in a heartbeat. Would I recommend the casita to others? Only if they don’t totally book it so we can’t return.

This is our second stay at Carribean Casa. We love the Casa so much I doubt I will ever stay anywhere else on the Island. The new kitchen renovation is fabulous. As usual Cori is beyond helpful and always answers any questions we have promptly. We really apprecaited all the little things the Casa has to offer including the little phone to call Sue if needed. Some of the best views on the island are all visable right from your room. The hardest thing about staying here is leaving to catch the plane back home. You will not want to leave. William & Kathy

This was our second stay at Casa Sonrisa. The first time we stayed here was in April and we loved it so much that we just had to return. The Casa is so warm and cute and the balcony right on the Caribbean is amazing. We would wake up and watch the sun rise (sometimes without ever getting out of bed), then go seaglass hunting, stop at the markets for some watermelon water (yum) and return to the Casa for a relaxing breakfast and coffee on our balcony. The backpacker chairs were great for our afternoons at North Beach. We spent our evenings in town having supper and people watching or catching some live music but we always ended our night out on the balcony of the Casa. Fatima keeps the Casa sparkling, she is so thorough when she comes to clean. We have to say a special thank you to Sue and Miguel, the property management people who were so good to us during our stay. This Casa is a gem and we can’t wait to return!

We have really enjoyed our 3 week stay at Casita Sonrisa. The Casita was everything we were expecting and much more. The new kitchen is fantastic, lots of counter space, very well laid out, especially being able to sit down to dinner with a glass of wine overlooking the ocean. You have a view of the ocean from anywhere in the Casita. Fatima kept the place immaculately cleaned. It was awesome to wake up in the morning to the ocean waves and breezes enjoying the sunrise. It is so nice to have access to the malecon from the Casita so that we could enjoy our morning walks. Caribbean Casa is so well located and is within walking distance of the nightlife on Hidago, Playa Norte, Chedraui, etc. Cori and Pete were very good in returning emails and providing us with all information we needed on Isla Mujeres and Casita Sonrisa. They even provide a great information booklet in the Casita upon arrival on the restaurants, nightlife, things to do, etc. which was very helpful. We are looking forward to our stay next year.

Property management company was there when we arrived, very helpful and nice couple. Fatima , the maid was very nice and she kept a very clean apartment. Everything was as stated in the apartment. The views were very beautiful. I spent more time on the balconies then I ever have on any other trip. we would love to stay here again when we return to the island. The location was perfect for us, close to everything, but away from main traffic. My husband was bragging it up so much at work, that one of his coworkers ended booking the casa for a vacation not knowing anything about isla. You will love this place !!! wendu harman

What you see in the pictures is what you get. Clean, wonderful eye for detail and a view of the Caribbean that cannot be beat!!! The window from the bed frames the Caribbean. The waves through the open patio door lull you to sleep. The unbeatable sunrise from the bed looking out the framed Caribbean is what I would imagine heaven would be like. Its location is excellent. The owners were easy to work with and generous with information; and the management company was “Johnny on the spot.” Run, don’t walk, but we dibbs it first if you try to book for the same week! 🙂 And don’t miss Cafe Havana just down the street!!

I have been to the island many times. Tried over half a dozen different places and always had this one of my radar as it gets such good reviews. With their fair pricing and a devoted group of regulars, it is however hard to book for someone like me who prefers last minute trip planning. When it happened to be free for my 4 nights on the island, I saw it as a sign! I stayed in Sonrisa downstairs and loved the renovated kitchen and little details everywhere. One can tell that the owners are concerned with their guests’ well-being, the place is beautiful, well-maintained, spotlessly clean and useful things like a local cell phone are included. I loved that the neighbors were mostly Mexicans, I really felt like I was part of island life. The walk from Playa Norte to the apartment is 10-15 minutes, those who don’t like walking could rent a golf cart though, parking space was plentiful on the street. There are a few very tasty restaurants (La Lomita, Casa Havana) just one minute away and a grocery store a few minutes farther. The unit had cable tv and wifi, which were both working very well until the last day. While the problem seemed to be on the cable co’s end, the owners were quick to respond and apologetic, another proof of all the care they put in this rental. I really enjoyed staying here and will certainly return!

Beautiful beaches and water, excellent seafood restaurants (this is a fishing village at its heart), much local Mexican flavor and, without a doubt, the nicest place I’ve stayed at on the island. And coming regularly to Isla Mujeres since 1985, I have seen many! The description listed is excellent but this is the sort of place you have to live in to get the full picture—the views, especially from the upper apartment, are spectacular throughout the day, sunrise to sunset.

I happened to find it one day while looking on the net and decided we would give it a try. The owners are so nice to work with and were always very quick to answer our questions via email. The casa itself is beyond wonderful and the views from the many balconies are breath taking. We will never stay anywhere else on our future trips to Isla Mujeres. We are beyond spoiled and already can’t wait to go back. Thanks for a wonderful trip and we already miss staying at your wonderful home.

Wow, what a nice casita. The view was amazing and the proximty to downtown Isla priceless. There was more then enough room for two people and everything you need for a stress free vacation was provided. Plenty of towels, dishes and lots of hot water for the shower. We had absolutely no issues during our stay. One thing that paticularly impressed me was the lack of bugs of any kind(I looked). We did not see even an ant, the first place we have ever stayed that did not have those irritating small ants that paticularly love it if a crumb remains on the countertop. I thought perhaps the oweners were using something special to keep the bugs at bay, but nope, just plain good old fashioned cleaning. Isla Mujeres is a special location and Carribean Casa is a special casista. We would absolutely love to return and are hopeful we will be able to book again for next year.

This was our third trip to Isla. There was a last minute cancellation at Casita Isladise, and we thought it looked too good to be true. But it was even better! Gorgeous, roomy, luxurious. The hardest thing to decide was which terrace to sit on! We slept better than at home, and we almost did not want to leave to go exploring. But we did. Close walking distance to restaurants, grocery, el norte, and yet so quiet. Cori was so very helpful with information on getting there, recommendations of restaurants, etc. We shall definitely return, as soon as we can! Best vacation ever.

What a delight to sing the praises of Casa Soñrisa. From our first meeting with the owners, Cori and Pedro, the previous year and having them personally show us their little jewel to the two weeks spent there this year…it was outstanding. A perfect spot. The decor is highlighted by the colorful Mexican tiles and bright Caribbean colors on the walls with the backdrop of the turquoise ocean just beyond the terrace. We could not have asked for a more perfect spot to spend our second visit to Isla Mujeres. More than enough bathroom towels, beach towels, comfy bed, lots of bed pillows to choose from, kitchen amenities for light meals, and an absolute great location. The sound of the sea lulls you to sleep at night. A nice neighborhood and even though on one of the two major streets on the island not a problem with overabundance of traffic and noise during the day. Almost non existence at night. Naval PX across the street for the best liquor prices on the island. Casa Havana and La Lomita down the street for good local food. In Centro our favorite restaurants, Olivia’s, Lola Valentina, Angelo’s. For breakfast: Mogagua, Mango Cafe, and never never miss the cinnamon rolls at Barlitos. Get there early or reserve the day before. Will at Mundaca was great. Met us at the ferry, accompanied us to Casa Sonrisa, and when it was time to move because our reservation was up picked us up in his van and shuttled us to the next place. We hope to secure a reservation in the future.

Let me start by saying Cori the property owner was great to work with she answered all emails very quickly and helped us with any questions we had. We stayed in Casa Sonrisa over New Years and had a wonderful vacation. To start of we were meet at the ferry by Will from Mundaca(the property manager) and he walked us to the apartment. The apartment looks exactly like the pictures and it was spotless. The views from the balcony were great several of my friends who saw pictures said it could be a corona ad. At night we left the balcony door open and a window on the front door and this created a great breeze and we were able to sleep to the sounds of the ocean. The balcony also has direct access to the malecon, so every morning we would walk on the malecon to the Loncheria’s in town for breakfast, about a 10 minute walk. There were also a couple of places to eat just down the street La Lomita and a cuban place that were both very good. Overall this was a great place to stay and very affordable. We had such a good time we have all ready booked for New Years next year.

We have been coming to isla for the last 10 years and finally found the perfect accomidations. The townhouse is far enough from the hussle & bussle and yet walking distance from everything you need. the View is wonderful from all points, and the Casa is spacious and caringly decorated. I hesitated to write this thinking too many people would find out about our “good thing” Our experience with all involved has been great, we were showed all the details of the Casa from light bulbs to filling the pool. (someplaces just don,t give you enough info.) AFFORDABLE CLEAN D&V

The other reviewers are right–it’s a beautiful place. And we really enjoyed it except for the days when we just wanted to sit on the balcony and read. The construction in neighboring homes went on pretty much from sunrise to sunset, and that noise kept the neighborhood dogs excited. We really liked the Cuban restaurant down the street, as well as Justicial Social, Jax, Barlito and La Lomita. Playa Norte is one of the best beaches I’ve ever enjoyed. We would stay again, but not without checking on the construction progress.

We were fortunate enough to stay in Casa Isladise for several days last month and enjoyed every moment of our stay. The spectacular view from the moment you walk in the front door and available from several directions from the second level, are amazing. The vibrant colors just draw you in. The king sized bed is amazingly comfortable and you wake up to wonderful sunrises right from bed. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you will need. The wifi works great as well. Beach bag, beach towels and beach chairs are an example of all the finishing touches included in this great place. Providing a great vacation is clearly a priority for the owners. Checking is smooth with Will from Mundaca making sure you have all the information you need to insure a great stay, Thank you to Pete and Cori for sharing their beautiful Casa with us.

I absolutely loved staying in Casita Isladise! This 2 level beauty of a place was very hard to leave! Owners – Beyond helpful! The owners are a delight to communicate with. They clearly love their property and are so proud to share it with others. The main floor has a full bathroom, kitchen, sectional sitting area, kitchen table with 2 chairs, plus a full living room, CD player, TV, desk, beautiful storage unit, terrace over the malecon facing the eastern side of the island. The 2nd floor (I loved the top floor!!) is a HUGE bright bedroom with 2 terraces (one east and one west), fantastic dipping pool, full bathroom, desk, comfy bed…it was so amazing to wake up in the morning to this gorgeous room. The biggest decision each day was what terrace did I want to sit on! Photos – It’s just as lovely in real (if not more so) than the photos. What I really liked was the owners have paid so much attention to details. It’s very colorful, love the bathroom sinks they’re just gorgeous…and all the talavera cups, fish, kleenex box cover etc. It’s absolutely lovely! Property Manager – Will is the Property Manager and he was great to work with. He meets you at the Casita and gets you organized with where everything is (light switches, air con remotes etc.) While I had no reason to need anything as the Casa was full of everything and then some, Will isn’t far away and is more than happy to help you with anything. What I also liked is that on the last day, Will is happy to store your luggage in his office. Thank you Will! Would you recommend this property to a friend or relative? OK..if I have to…then I’ll never get to rent it again! 😀 Transportation – You’re on the main street of Juarez, taxis come past all the time. Groceries – Super Xpress in Centro as well as one in La Gloria but there’s a big Chedraui mid-island that has everything you need There’s lots to do there! Check out the great binder full of information in the Casa that the owners have created. It’s a wealth of information. Rent a golf cart Eat at one of the many restaurants around the island…my personal favourites are Picus, French Bistro, La Lomita, La Mexicana Chicken, Tacos Tumbras to name a few. Walk the malecon Check out Centro Visit North Beach, Punta Sur, Garrafon de Castillo Thank you for everything Senora Cori and Senor Pedro! What a beautiful place you have! xo

This review is long overdue. We stayed at Caribbean Casa in late April. What a super condo! Plenty of room, great views, easy walk to anywhere downtown. We were fortunate enough to meet the owners, and that was our great pleasure. Will not think of staying elsewhere on Isla if Caribbean Casa is available. Read the other reviews. Didn’t want to repeat what has already been written. They are 100% accurate, Thank you Pete and Cori. Really hope to see you again.

We stayed in Casita Sonrisa in April, and had a wonderful time! About the Casita – nothing too fancy, however it was clean, very well maintained, nice island decor, and the location could not be beat! You are close enough to the downtown area (shopping/restaurants/bars) and beaches to get there by foot within 5-10 minutes, yet its far enough away so you can “get away” from it all when you want. The home is mixed in with other vacation homes as well as the regular population, so you feel like you are part of the neighborhood, and you can get a feel for the culture of the island. It makes you seem like less of a “tourist” which we preferred. The people on the island are very nice and friendly, just say “hola” if you can’t speak anything else! Safety was never an issue, as we walked all over very late into the night, and never felt unsafe. Location makes it an easy drive in a golf-cart or scooter to the south part of the island, which we highly recommend doing! We got the best rates from a corner stand on Avenida Vincente Guerrero and Lopez Mateos. There are even more places to eat (as if there aren’t enough already in the north?!), and again you are seeing the real people of the island and experiencing it more thoroughly than you would in most other vacation areas of Mexico. We were fortunate enough to meet the owners of the Casita and aside from being very friendly, they were also very informative on where to go and what to do. They have a book in the Casita with all of their recommended places, but may we suggest DaLuisa for a romantic meal, Bally Ho for very tasty fish tacos, Chuuk Kay for their Coconut Shrimp, AA Taqueria for cheap Tortas, but any small/local/family run place will be fantastic! We have never eaten so much on a vacation and wish we could have stayed longer to try more places….everything was wonderful! Thank you for allowing us to stay in Casita Sonrisa, and hopefully we can make it back to try Casita Isladise! We highly recommend traveling to this island, and to this Casita in particular – best deal on the island!

We recently spent a wonderful 10 days on Isla Mujeres with Casita Sonrisa as our “home”. This is such a beautiful apartment – they have thought of everything you need to make your stay perfect. The apartment and the view of the sea are exactly as portrayed in the photos – the water really is that color of blue! Most days we prepared our breakfast and packed a dive lunch in the well equipped kitchenette – it was great to have the full sized fridge as it allowed us to “stockpile” ice cubes for our back from the beach margaritas! Most nights we ate out at the great Isla Mujeres restaurants and it was so convenient to have the microwave to re-heat the leftovers (portions were really large at most places). We soon learned to forgo dessert with dinner and stop at a house just down the street from the casa where the woman sold the BEST homemade flan! The casita is perfectly located for walking to attractions, beaches, shopping and restaurants, but it far enough away from the hustle and bustle to allow for complete relaxation. We had no trouble hailing taxis near the casita when we wanted to go further a field. The only hitch was the first night we neglected to figure out how to tell the taxi where we wanted to go when it was time to return home and much to the amusement of the taxi driver and his wife I mimed boats and navy soldiers until they guessed “Armada” and we were able to direct them from there! The Naval Base store just across the street is well stocked and fairly priced – great selection of wine. Mention must be made of the help available from the concierge guest representative (in our case Wil) who will meet you at the ferry and escort you to Caribbean Casa -really sets the tone for the holiday. We have rented many Caribbean vacation homes from VRBO and this is among the best and is definitely the CLEANEST apartment we have used (Fatima was the housekeeper and she certainly took pride in her work). We have already booked the entire house for next year so that our adult kids can come along! Thanks Cori and Pete for sharing your slice of paradise with us.

Loved our stay at Casita Isladise! The new addition is fantastic… great views, comfy bed, colorful tiling, and a very cozy dipping pool! We have stayed at many places on Isla and this is our favorite. The location is ideal for walking in either direction. Nice extras… beach chairs, large beach towels, and snorkel gear. Thank you for sharing Isladise … we loved everything about the place and hope to stay here in the future!

We divided our stay between Isladise and Sonrisa. Isladise has been reviewed well in previous posts and I can not add more. It is truly a gem. Sonrisa is located on the main level with a wonderful sunrise view from the king size bed. Amenities are amazing. The tile work is beautiful. . Kitchen is very well stocked and a pleasure to prepare a meal in. This would be the place I would consider for longer term stay. Easy walking distance to town. Everything we needed . The owners have thought of everything. Made for such an enjoyable holiday. This place is a must do.. it is certainly a “do-over” for us next year. Thanks for sharing your casa with us Cori and Pete… till next year!

We enjoyed a truly amazing 30 days and nights in Casita Isladise. Incredible views in every direction…clean, spacious, beautifully decorated….everything you need for a wonderful holiday and a true ‘home away from home’. The location is perfect….3 balconies overlooking both the east and west coasts of the island. Only a short walk from many wonderful restaurants and shops, and one of the best beaches in Mexico, Playa Norte. The east-facing balcony was the perfect spot to greet the sun…what a great way to start the day! During the afternoon, we enjoyed our private west-facing balcony, cooling off in the refreshing dipping pool, while watching boats sail past. Some days we never even left the casita! It was that perfect! We are already counting the sleeps until our next stay in this perfect ‘Isladise’. We highly recommend Caribbean Casa! Gracias Cori and Pete for sharing your home with us!

We were lucky enough to have been able to stay at Caribbean Casa’s ground floor casita, Casita Sonrisa, for a little over a month. It is by far the nicest place I’ve every stayed on Isla! We loved being on the ground floor (no climbing steps) and waking up to see the sunrise over the Caribbean right from our comfy king-size bed. What a view we had and the sound of the waves would put us to sleep. We were so impressed with how well equipped the casita was. We had all the dishes, glasses, cutlery and cooking utensils we needed. There is a double burner hot plate, blender, toaster, microwave and full size refrigerator. We were even supplied with fresh bottled water during the entire time we were there. We had the opportunity to meet the owners, Cori and Pete. They are a wonderful couple and really care about their guests. We felt like Casita Sonrisa was a second home and can’t wait to return there next year!

We own a rental property on Isla and needed a place to stay while it was occupied by guests. After researching numerous properties on the island we settled on Sonrisa at Caribbean Casa and couldn’t have been more delighted with our choice. First off, the location was an easy five minute walk from the ferry. Our initial impression of the apartment was of how clean and spacious it was, to say nothing of the incredible view of the ocean. The decor was charming and the kitchen well equipped. We loved having access to the malacon for morning walks after enjoying coffee on the ocean front terrace. The Casa was within walking distance of North Beach and all the restaurants downtown including several nearby neighborhood loncherias. The apartment was a tranquil respite to come home to after a day at the beach. Another great touch were the beach chairs, beach towels and beach bag that were provided for our use. While we were staying at Sonrisa, we had the opportunity to tour Isladise, the upper suite and were truly wowed by the creativity used to create an incredible two level living space that included three decks, one with a dipping pool overlooking the bay to Cancun. Kudos to Cori and Pedro (Pete) for giving Isla lovers affordable and charming accommodations on Isla Mujeres.

We can’t say enough great things about Caribbean Casa! It all starts with the owner’s Cori and Pete’s taking care of their vacation Property before you get there to make sure you will have the best experience. Our family spent 16 days in Casa Isladise and didn’t want to leave. Mundaca Property Management did a great job in meeting us at the ferry and getting us and our luggage to the casa. They were very helpful in the months leading up to our stay and made things go very smoothly once we were on Isla Mujeres. There representative’s name is Melchor and he can take care of anything for you once on Isla We found it more like a home then a rental. There is fresh ground coffee and milk for your morning coffee. The casa sits right on the sea wall so you have a great view of the Caribbean. Both units have a King size bed that we found very comfortable. The casa is less than a 5 min walk to town or if you have had too much fun a 30 pesos ride home. If you are staying in the top unit (well worth it) there is a dipping pool that faces the Cancun side. If you leave the bathroom door open while in the shower you can see the Caribbean and Cancun! Both units come with Wi-Fi and cable TV. By the way we have already booked the top unit again for Christmas and New Year’s 2012-2013….That is how much we loved staying at Caribbean Casa!

We rented the top suite which is on two floors and it was BLISS. Crashing ocean at our feet, huge master bedroom with two balconies, east and west, lots of privacy, stars overhead and peace and quiet. Everything is super clean and charming with Mexican tile throughout, extra large windows, comfortable king sized bed, and you can walk to everything in town. The staff servicing the apartment are accessible, speak English and are very helpful. Extras that were supplied: bottled water and coffee. Highly recommended.

WOW! The best place we have stayed! We happened to be one of the first to experience the newly renovated suit of the Caribbean Casa, and there are not enough words to describe our stay in this wonderful place. You walk in to an open concept main living area with a view of the Caribbean, then climb the stairs to the newly added top floor with two amazing decks, one deck giving you birds eye view of the turquoise Caribbean Ocean, a great place to enjoy your morning coffee and the sunrise! Then in the evening, you may want to relax with a glass of wine on the deck facing the Cancun side and watching the sunset! Wow, the best of both!!! The people on the island are so genuine, happy, and accomodating that it makes the stay even that much more pleasant. We enjoyed the many walks on the island, the food was fantastic, the swimming and snorkeling were great, even the excursions were quite memorable. We would highly recommend the Caribbean Casa to anyone looking to excape reality and thoroughly enjoy a memorable holiday. The owners of the Caribbean Casa have thought of everything. A very well appointed and comfortable retreat!

I stayed at Caribbean Casa for three weeks this past November. I cannot say enough about how fabulous this casa is!! I’ve been visiting Isla Muejres for the past 15 years and know it well. This casa not only has incredible views, but is perfectly located….close to the activities (walking distance), but in a quiet and safe area. The casa has all the comforts you need. I like it better than my own home! I cannot say enough about how fabulous Caribbean Casa is!

We’ve been staying at this property for a month each year since 2008 and can’t even think of staying anywhere else! The views are absolutely amazing and the townhouse is a comfortable ‘home’ away from home. The location is very convenient with restaurants, shops and beaches only a short stroll away along the scenic malecon (sea wall). The townhouse is well-appointed with a very comfortable king size bed, large sitting area, lots of closet space, colourful tiled bathroom with large open shower and a large balcony with the most amazing views of the ocean and sunrises. Truly the perfect place to start the day. We know the new owners will make this little piece of paradise even more perfect. This is the place you want to stay on Isla Mujeres!
